PEP Wauconda saves cancer treatment provider 46% with ‘impossible’ stamping

Wauconda recently defied conventional stamping limitations by converting a machined part with a .019” center hole – measuring only 57% of the thickness of the titanium material – to a stamping. The component is part of a radiation marker assembly. Other well-regarded stampers had declined to take on the challenging project, citing the impossibility of stamping a hole smaller than the thickness of the material the part was made from. Wauconda’s tooling experts were able to produce the component to functional specifications – and at a 46% cost savings over the machined part. Learn more.
